First of all, for universities with several inaccessible data indicators, this ranking cannot reflect their achievement. Please refer to the single indicator result of these universities.

Various reasons can result in change of ranking this year.

Compared with last year, the ranking this year reflects to some degree the ranking change of the merged universities. To the merged universities, the ranking reflects not only the quantity after the merge, but also the comprehensive incorporative quality. For example, if the quality of the merged university is higher, the ranking might rise than last year; if the incorporative quality is lower, the ranking might fall down; if the universities with equivalent level merge, the results of this year may be the same with last year.

Because of the adoption of several indicators in Humanities and social science, the ranking of comprehensive universities and universities of humanities in general is higher compared to last year.

The comparative data change of the universities on the same indicator may influence the results of ranking.
